Geophytic Plants

Bulbous plants have evolved food storage structures i.e. bulbs, corms, tubers, rhizomes, etc. that allow them to survive drought and stressful conditions until the next growth cycle can begin. Many of these plants can be very forgiving of short period of neglect with a rebound to vigor when proper conditions are met.
